Dust off you trainers and get jogging!
Two new running groups are starting this week as part of a countywide programme which is aimed at newcomers, or anyone who hasn't run for a while and wants to get back into running.
Parklands Jog and Run goes every Monday at 6pm from the Parklands Community Centre and the Rushden Joggers will leave every Tuesday at 6.30pm and every Thursday at 1pm.
The groups always start with the very basic walk/jog sessions - so don't worry about not having done any running before, the leaders are here to help you start from the very beginning.
The beginners groups are aimed at newcomers or anyone who hasn't put their tracksuit and trainers on for a while, to help you get fitter regarless of age, size, shape or ability. The groups are open to those who are complete beginners but equally to those who would just like people to run with. So far 25 groups have been set up all across Northamptonshire
The session will cost £2 per session and will gradually build participants up to a 5K run.
