Disability rowing from Oundle
Oundle Rowing club have teamed up with the County Council's Disabled Children’s Service and Northamptonshire Sport to get more young people into this growing sport.
Colin Bullock from Oundle Rowing club and their Henley Coach Katherine Morris ran sessions at 11 clubs throughout tyhe county, teaching participants basic rowing techniques using indoor machines using 'Get Sporty' funding from Northamptonshire Sport.
Once the basics have been learnt then the young people take part in timed races which will be compared against the other 10 Clubs times with the winning club getting a prize!
Once the taster sessions are complete the club aims to run a residential trip up to Oundle, providing an opportunity to put the skills they’ve learnt into practice on the water.
