County disability sport funding boost!

The Northamptonshire Federation of Disability Sport (NFDS) has today launched a new funding initiative available for Schools, sport clubs and organisations to apply for up to £1000 to help develop sporting opportunities for people with disabilities in the county.

The Chair of NFDS, Graeme Wilson who is also the Disability Development Officer for Northamptonshire Sport said "NFDS is delighted to provide this opportunity for people to apply for funding that will hopefully help reduce the worrying statistic that currently 94% people with disabilities in Northamptonshire don't do the recommended amount of sport and exercise required to live a healthy lifestyle" 

The first round of applications for NFDS funding will be open until Monday 16th January 2012
