The 10th Northamptonshire Youth Games
The 10th Northamptonshire Youth Games took place on Saturday 28th June with approx 700 young people from all over the county in action in 10 different sporting events.
The day began in the sunshine with the opening ceremony which included the parade of participants, mascot race and a demonstration from Corby Cheerleading Academy. Cllr Jenny Henson, Mayor Kettering officially opened the games and Leo the Lion from Daventry won the mascot race at his first attempt!
The young people and volunteers all went off to participate in their respective sports.
