Paralympic Talent Search launched

UK Sport today launched a nationwide talent search for Paralympic athletes with the aim of recruiting athletes into specific sporting programmes in 2010.

Working in partnership with ParalympicsGB, the Talent 2012 programme has been developed in order to attract as many applications as possible for consideration for the British team at the 2012 Paralympic Games.

The intention is to unearth previously unidentifiedathletes with the talent and determination to successfully represent their county on home soil at the next Paralympic games.

These athletes may not know that they qualify for the Paralympics, and many may already be in able-bodied programmes.
