Northamptonshire vaulter named in British Team
Northamptonshire rider Lydia Barham (14) has been selected for the senior British team to compete at the European Vaulting Championships in Sweden this summer.
Vaulting is best described as a form of gymnastics on the back of a moving horse which is worked on a circle under the control of a lunger.
Lydia, a pupil at Prince William School, Oundle, started vaulting with the English Vaulting Squad three years ago and most recently helped them to a strong 5th place finish in international competition in Saumur (France).
