The county awards have been running for 2 years now, with great success.

The evening will run from 7.30 till 10.00pm, consisting of buffet and drinks, followed by a review of the sporting year before the announcement of the winners of the 12 award categories:
Coach of the Year
Young Leader of the year
Contribution to School Sport
Contribution to Sport
Team of the Year
Development Club of the Year
Young Disabled Sports Achiever of the Year
Young Male Sports Achiever of the Year
Young Female Sports Achiever of the Year
Disabled Sportsperson of the Year

The awards evening will celebrate the success and achievement of local sports clubs and individual sportsmen and women from the borough, and to reward and recognise the enthusiasm and effort of sporting volunteers. Several influential characters from around the borough will be there on night to present the awards and give you an insight into the roles they play.

Sponsorship Opportunities
The Sports Development Unit is looking for local businesses to support this event. This can be done in two ways.
Through sponsorship of an award category, which will go towards the category trophy and the category winner’s personal award.
We are therefore looking for sponsorship in the region of £100, however any amount of sponsorship would be considered. Businesses supporting the event will be invited as guests to the evening.
Another way you can show your support to the event is to sponsor a table on the night. Each table will be named after the sponsor allowing 2 representatives from your company to attend the event and to network with other guests who are seated on your table. We would be looking for sponsorship in the region of £50, however any amount of sponsorship would be considered.
The Herald & Post have agreed to work in partnership with us, and will therefore be able to offer your company recognition for the contributions you make to the awards evening. The Herald & Post will launch the event with information in their papers about nomination procedures and will also cover the event, with picture opportunities and information about the award sponsors.
If you would like further information on sponsorship or about the awards, then please contact Andrew Jackson ajackson@northampton.gov.uk or call 01604 837704 / 07867 537417
